FIX Protocol and FAST Messaging

FIX, the overwhelming industry standard for financial messaging, was designed for extendability and therefore requires an architecture tuned for flexibility without compromising performance. TCM incorporates XML data-driven customization of interface definitions, allowing for endless customization even over hundreds or thousands of connections through a core architecture that doesn’t sacrifice performance.

FAST, the "edge" technology for compression and optimization of messaging bandwidth, is supported natively in TCM and can be turned on for individual connections as appropriate without affecting configuration or management. Because of the native integration approach TCM provides FAST functionality that is not possible with modular FAST technology, such as native persistence of FAST-encrypted data instead of raw FIX.
